What's the cost of your training programs?

For K-5 training programs:

We offer 1-day workshops around the U.S. for K-5 teachers, free of charge! These workshops will provide an intro to computer science, pedagogy, overview of the online curriculum, teacher dashboard, and strategies for teaching “unplugged” classroom activities. Workshops last 6-7 hours and will prepare you to teach the Code.org courses for grades K-5. Click here a workshop near you!

What you'll get from attending a workshop:

  • in-person instruction from an experienced computer science facilitator
  • an intro to computer science and pedagogy
  • an overview of the online curriculum and teacher dashboard
  • a printed curriculum guide containing course lesson plans
  • strategies for teaching “unplugged” classroom activities
  • classroom supplies for the unplugged activities
  • a certificate of completion
  • a bag of Code.org swag

For middle and high school training programs:

We are a nonprofit dedicated to helping schools teach computer science. We want to make sure all our students have access to a high quality education. In most states, our professional learning is offered at no cost to you or your school.

In New York and North Carolina, there is a fee to cover the costs of the workshop. But, we have worked with many school districts in these regions and they have allocated funds to cover the costs for you and your school. If your principal or administration has any questions around the costs to support this, please encourage them to reach out to our partners in New York (programs@codeinteractive.org) and North Carolina (srmorri3@ncsu.edu) so we can help you.

5-day Summer Workshop Expenses

In some cases, travel may be required to attend your five-day summer workshop. Participants who are assigned to attend a Code.org-hosted Teacher Conference (TeacherCon) will have flights, lodging, and meals provided at no cost.

Local Academic Year Workshop Expenses

Meals and course materials will be provided to participants who attend the local follow-up workshops. Your Regional Partner will schedule and lead these workshops, and will provide more details.
