Code.org is excited to announce the launch of our new featured project gallery. This gallery is designed to showcase top student projects to inspire our code.org community with the possibilities in computer science. You can view the featured project gallery here.
We are not currently taking submissions to the featured gallery, but we will eventually allow all students to submit their projects to be featured. Since Code.org is investing in this curated featured project gallery, students will no longer be able to publish directly to the project gallery.
Frequently Asked Questions:
What happened to the public gallery?
In our ongoing effort to ensure a safe and enriching environment for students at Code.org, we have decided to remove the public project gallery due to content concerns. We hope the new featured gallery will spark more inspiration for our students and teachers. Projects in the featured gallery will rotate periodically throughout the year.
How do I submit a project to the featured gallery?
Currently there is no way to submit a project to the featured gallery. We are working on a submission form and will update here when it is live.
What does being "featured" mean?
A featured project is one that is highlighted on the featured gallery.
Can I update my project white its featured?
While projects are being featured on the gallery, they will be locked from any changes/updates. You will see if your project is locked by the “i” icon next to the name. If you want to keep editing the project, you can remix your projects and make edits there. Once the project is removed from the featured gallery, you will have access to edit the project directly again.
Can I submit more than one project to be featured?
There is no way to submit a new project to the gallery, but once there is this - article will be updated.
What kinds of projects won't be featured?
Any project that breaks Code.org’s Code of Conduct will not be featured. For the projects that follow Code.org Code of Conduct, we want to feature a wide variety of projects, labs and creators to provide inspiration to future creators.
